June Melby is a Los Angeles based artist who performs surreal pieces of comedic poetry and music that are sometimes funny, sometimes poignant--always appealing to a wide audience. She is currently attending the University of Iowa to get an MFA in creative writing. She has several books and cd's available for sale. She tours often in the U.S. performing in literary venues, rock clubs, and festivals, and has also toured Europe five times since 2000. She works with a revolving team of musicians and backup vocalists in a band called "June Melby and Her Future Enemies." Musicians have included Matthew Niblock, Christian Carbone, Joseph Newhouse, John Rodriguez, and Brendan Constantine.
